How access PostgreSQL database in virtual box

  1. Open network adapter setting in virtual box, it’s in devices menu
  2. Change the network adapter option to Host-only Adapter
  3. Check your newest ip address on your virtual box, for example, mine is 192.168.56.101
  4. Edit your pg_hba.conf, add this line: host    all       all         192.168.56.1/32 md5
  5. That’s it, now you can access your PostgreSQL database in virtual box from your own pc
